Wayzata Is Pure Lakefront Luxury
The 55391 ZIP Code, on the northern shore of the popular recreational destination of Lake Minnetonka, has some of the priciest properties in the state.
Wayzata is a roughly 3-square-mile city on the northeast shore of Lake Minnetonka. One of Minnesota’s most popular recreational lakes. The 55391 ZIP Code of the city, which is 11 miles west of Minneapolis, has some of the state’s most expensive real estate. It is home to Cargill, the world’s largest privately held company, according to Forbes, with revenues of $134.4 billion as of 2021. In the warmer months, Wayzata’s downtown is crowded with boaters who dock near the main Lake Street and enjoy the many restaurants and shops. In the winter, when temperatures dip below freezing, Wayzatans don’t miss a beat: They head outside to ice skate, ice-fish, and even iceboat.
